Flower Crab Spider with prey.

Flower Crab Spider with prey.

This photo was taken near Kirkfield, Ontario. The bumble bee is paralyzed with the spiders venom. Crab spiders are believed to be able to change colour to blend in with their surroundings enabling their hunting of insects who have come to nectar from the flower.
